One of the main goals of Moving Buddy is to provide clarity upfront about how a quality local move works. Get your detailed and transparent price quickly, the quoting process is simple. Answer a few questions about your move and receive a quote instantly. Your comprehensive quote includes an hourly rate, time estimate, flat travel fee and boxes if you chose to order a packing kit.

Travel Time

Your travel rate is a flat fee charged per day. The days of being charged the full hourly rate for travel time is gone. The clock starts when our crew arrives at your home and ends when they finish moving you into your new location. No surprise charges.

2 hour minimum

Any move that takes 2 hours or less will be billed at 2-hours. If your move takes longer than 2 hours you will be charged in increments of 15 minutes based on your hourly rate. Your hourly rate is guaranteed at booking.

Boxes

Payment for box kits are taken at the time of the booking online. Shipping is included with the box kits cost. Tax is collected at checkout.

Payment

A credit card is required at the time of your booking to hold your reservation. Although a hold will be placed on your card prior to your move you will not be charged until you review and approve the final hours after your move. Your can reschedule your move at no penalty 48 hours prior.

How do I get started?

Getting started is simple. Answer a few questions about your local move to instantly receive a quote. Start your online quote now. When you're ready to book, select your specific date and time. We'll see you then!

What if my move takes less than the time quoted?

You will only be charged for the time used at the agreed upon hourly rate. I.e. You are quoted for 5 hour, but the move only takes 4 hours. You will only be charged the cost for 4 hours at the agree upon rate.

When will I receive my box kits?

Box kits will arrive at the latest 5 days before your move date and time. Tape included.

Can I cancel my move?

Yes, your move can be canceled 48hrs prior to your move date. Any move canceled within the 48hr window will be charged the 2-hour minimum based on the reserved hourly rate.
